A PASTOR due to be sentenced yesterday for raping his 11-year-old stepdaughter had his sentencing delayed after he caused a stir in the Khayelitsha Regional Court.
He cannot be named to protect the child.
Shouting that the court was illegitimate, he accused the prosecutor of unfairly prosecuting him.
Clutching two Bibles and proclaiming his innocence, the 37-year-old pastor warned magistrate Gaynor De Wee the court would have to answer to God if it sent him to jail.
